Dear my Partners,
“Aloha!” (The
greeting word I learned from Honolulu last week. It can mean hello, welcome,
farewell, and love!)
Thanksgivings:
A big thanks to God, last week I had
a privilege to join together with over a hundred Chinese pastors and coworkers at
the Chinese Churches Association Conference. As a scholarship fellow, I participated
in the ministry enrichment program at the expenses of the Theological Training
Committee of the C&MA. The program focused on: developing ministries among
Chinese Americans in America, and engaging in worldwide missions, with emphasis
towards Chinese people groups. Super thankful for the wonderful trip and
eyes-opening experience and vision of the Chinese Churches. The fellowship
program is a great blessing to many seminarians. Hallelujah!
News:
Eva and I are still enjoying our…
Summer…School! Full time, 3 courses for each of us, oh that’s more intensive
than regular semester. After the trip, we are both exhausted and needed strong
turn to bury ourselves in books rather than water L…
Prayers
Request:
Please continue to pray for our
parents’ salvation, health, and financial wellbeing. My sister went back to
HongKong already and wanted to have baby. Please pray for her.
Please also remember our summer
intensive courses in prayer. We need strength, discipline, and wisdom. Eva is
taking her last one of the summer: Group Process Therapy. I am taking: Hebrew 1
& 2 online, need extra discipline. Please pray that we will finish strong
this summer.
Timely
words from the Letter to Philippians (My Partners): “A Love That Will Grow”
Philippians 1:6 (Amplified Bible)
“And I am convinced and sure of
this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the
day of Jesus Christ right up to the time of His return, developing that good
work and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.”
As always, thank you for your partnership with me, and with Gordon-Conwell
Theological Seminary to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to a great multitude
of needy people throughout the whole earth.
May our Lord richly bless you and reward you on earth as well as
in heaven!
Mahalo, (Hawaiian word for
"thank you"!)
Tom
